The BITKOM office in Brussels is the permanent representation of German ICT corporations to the European Union. The member companies of BITKOM meet frequently to exchange ideas on related policy issues. Those events draw representatives from the European Commission, Parliament and other EU institutions and represenations, and provide vital input for policy makers concerned with ICT legislation.
The tasks of BITKOM’s Brussels office include:
- Discussion based on current topics and developments at the European level
- Forming common positions on the developments in Brussels
- Dialogue with representatives of politics and administration
- Harmonizing the undertakings of BITKOM committees in Germany with political developments in Brussels
- Organisation of BITKOM events in Brussels, including the the annual “Executive Dinner”
